The Story Behind "Ironwood Park" – A Name with Meaning!
Do you wonder why it's called Ironwood Park? The name is more than just a title—it’s a tribute to the land’s history and a perfect fit for its surroundings!

The park sits on what was once the Tyngsborough Golf Course, owned and operated by the Spindell family for 86 years. After the Toll Brothers purchased the property, they developed The Enclave on the east side and generously donated the west side to the Town of Tyngsborough for public recreation.

So, why Ironwood? The name is a clever nod to both golf clubs—an "Iron" and a "Wood"—and the Ironwood tree, aligning with the area's tradition of tree-themed street names. The final name was chosen by a community vote, making it a true reflection of Tyngsborough’s history and spirit.
